Leveraging on its experience and success with its data centre in Tokyo, Japan Land has initiated a "next generation" data centre development project in Singapore, the financial hub of South East Asia. The seven-storey centre is situated on a 12,000 sq m parcel at the International Business Park in Jurong, a location that offers an ideal business environment and is expected to benefit from the future growth and demand of the Jurong Lake District, which the government is developing as a major commercial hub outside the central business district.
In collaboration with one of the most prominent data centre operators in the world, Japan Land is involved in the design, construction, tenant placement, facility operation and management of the data centre. Following the projects in Tokyo and Singapore, Japan Land is planning to expand its data centre business into Malaysia, Vietnam and other countries in Asia.
